On August 15, 2024, the final round of the 8th "Makers in Guangdong" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for New Energy Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) concluded triumphantly at the Zhizao Valley Industrial Park (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., (Abbreviated as Smart Creation Valley)，As a steadfast partner of Zhizao Valley, Longse joined hands to celebrate this momentous occasion, jointly witnessing the shining stars of the new energy sector emerge from the fray.
Under the guidance of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and organized by the Guangdong Provincial Association for Circular Economy and Comprehensive Utilization of Resources, with Zhizao Valley Industrial Park (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. and other entities as co-organizers, the grand finale of the competition unfolded seamlessly at the Zhizao Valley Innovation Park. Centered on the theme "Makers in Guangdong, Ingenuity of Southern Guangdong," the competition aimed to foster innovation and R&D, technology transfer, and application showcases in the new energy sector, inspiring creativity, promoting innovative applications, nurturing talent, and facilitating the realization of creative ideas.
At the event, Chen Lijun, First-Grade Investigator from the Service System Construction Division of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Xian Shangde, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Circular Economy and Comprehensive Utilization of Resources, Fu Zhijian, Chief Engineer, along with representatives from investment and financing institutions, and industry expert judges, graced the occasion to lend their support and encouragement to the innovators and entrepreneurs in the new energy field. Over a hundred individuals gathered at the Zhizao Valley Innovation Park, collectively witnessing every exhilarating moment of the competition.
Since its inception in July 2024, this year's competition has garnered widespread attention and active participation from the new energy sector. With the staunch support of leading enterprises, investment and financing institutions, research institutions, and industry associations, the competition attracted numerous high-quality, high-potential innovative and entrepreneurial projects. After rigorous evaluation and meticulous screening by experts, a total of 24 outstanding projects from both the enterprise and startup categories advanced to the final round. To ensure the scientificity, fairness, and rigor of the competition, ten experts from universities, research institutes, leading enterprises, and investment and financing institutions were invited to form a professional judging panel, conducting comprehensive and multi-faceted on-site evaluations of the participating projects.
During the final round, the 24 projects took the stage one after another, showcasing the latest achievements and innovative thinking in the new energy sector through the 8+4 format (8 minutes for project presentation + 4 minutes for Q&A). Ultimately, the "Empowering Green Computing Power, Leading Efficient Liquid Cooling - Liquid Cooling Technology Pioneer for Smart Computing Centers" project from Guangzhou Gaolan Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. in the enterprise category, and the "High-Performance Integrated Cloud Resource Management Technology" project from the Numeru Cloud Team in the startup category, emerged victorious as the first-prize winners. Additionally, the competition awarded three second-prizes, four third-prizes, two popularity awards, and six excellence awards, each accolade a testament to the tireless efforts and innovative spirit of the participants.
While the competition has drawn to a close, the march of innovation continues unabated.
