How many users can Longse recorder support to log in simultaneously?
In the LAN net, Longse recorder can support 5 users log in simultaneously. Only 2 of 5 users can preview via the main-stream and the other 3 users can preview via sub-stream. 
In the WAN net, it is decided by the network situation. Here we can not list out the specific number of users. 
It is the same as above if log in by mobile APP via P2P.

How to access the recorder via IE?
All Longse recorders, including HVR, XVR and NVR, support log in via browsers based on IE under Windows System 
(Apple MAC System not support), such as Firefox, Google (Ver. 45 below).
 
Step 1. Connect the recorder into LAN net, amend the IP address, use IP Search Tool to search the recorder and then click the one you choose.
Step 2. Download the OCX control from the pop-ups, install, refresh and then you can see the login interface.
Step 3. Input the user name admin and password 12345 to log in the recorder.
Step 4. Please change the password immediately after you using the default password to log in.

What can I do if the recorder can not record?
1. Check the hard disk
Step 1. Please check if the hard disk can be detected and its status is regular. 
Step 2. If Step 1 is OK, please format the hard disk and check if the equipment is normal working.
Step 3. If Step 2 is not working, please change another hard disk and try again Step 1&2.
 
2. Check the configuration
Please check if the recording planning is set correctly for every channel.

What can I do if the recorder can not start or reboot all the time?
1. Power limited: change a higher input power supplier (e.g. change 2A to 3A)
2. HDD not compatible: uninstall the HDD to check if the recorder can start or stop rebooting
3. The firmware bug: use automatic upgrade program or contact with Longse via support@longse.com 
to get the new firmware for repairing the bug 
4. Otherwise, send back for repairing if the above solutions are not available

What can I do if no video after connecting camera with recorder?
1. Check the power supplier: enough power input is required
2. Check BNC cable between camera and recorder: tight connection and good quality are required
3. Check the TV system (e.g. PAL system for camera and recorder both)
4. Check if the camera is high definition (e.g. AHD) but the recorder is normal analog (e.g. 960H DVR)
5. Check if the recorder is high definition (e.g. XVR) but the camera is normal analog (e.g. 720TVL)

Note: The camera should match with the recorder. 
For example, AHD camera matches with AHDVR, CVI camera matches with CVR, TVI camera matches with TVR.
4IN1 HD camera can match with any of above recorders 
because its output signal can be switched according to the recorder you apply.

What should I know before connecting the network IP camera with NVR?
Longse network IP camera supports ONVIF 2.4 and ONVIF Profile S Protocol. 
It is compatible with any brand NVR which supports ONVIF 2.4 or ONVIF Profile S. 
When connecting IP camera to the NVR, please check twice the ONVIF port (Default 8999) and the user name & password.
 
Note: Now the default setting of Longse Ambarella solution AL200 is 80 for ONVIF port, RTSP port and HTTP port.

Yes. IP camera transmission media is the network. 
As long as the bandwidth of switch meets the requirements for transmission, any brand of switch is compatible.

What is the transmission distance of network IP Camera?
The recommended transmitting distance is 100 meters if directly through network cable. 
If longer distance is required, you can use switch for extension. 
One switch can extend 100 meters, mostly 3 switches for 300 meters extension can be adopted. 
Longer than 300 meters can use network extender or through fiber cable for transmission.

How much space does network IP camera video file occupy?
The the bit rate of network IP camera can be adjusted. It means the video file for recording also can be adjusted.
 
Take the CIF video compressed by MPEG4 format for example. Its biggest bit rate is 400Kbps (“b” is bit here). 

One second it needs: 400/8=50KBps (“B” is byte here. Hard disk storage is calculated by Byte)

One minute it needs: 50KBpsx60s=3000KByte=3MByte

One hour it needs: 3MBytex60m=180MByte

One day it needs: 180MBytex24h=4320MByte=4.22GByte (1G=1024M)
